Wright State University Student Union3640 Colonel Glenn Blvd, Dayton, OH Wright State University was originally a joint venture by Ohio State and Miami University to establish a university in Dayton. Started in 1961, by 1967 Wright State became an independent accredited university. This year, Wright State reached a record 18,786 enrolled undergraduate and graduate students. The newly renovated Wright State University Student Union features the Apollo Room, formerly known as the multi-purpose room. The floor will be vinyl tile on concrete, but please DO NOT BRING ANY POWDER OR CORNMEAL. Any dancer that is found with either powder or cornmeal will be asked to leave with no refund. Ample parking is provided right outside the Student Union (in both the visitor lots and student/faculty lots are open after 6p).
The Baum Opera House15 South 1st Street, Miamisburg, OH The Baum Opera House is a registered National Historic Site. Built in 1884, it features two levels, the top level having a large ballroom and stage. The lower level features a smaller floor for a more intimate setting. The Baum is host to theater production, teas, weddings and wedding receptions, Christmas parties, musical events and many other activities and functions. It is also the registration site of the famed "Turkey Trot" run on Thanksgiving morning, plus the proud home of the Miamisburg Merchants Associations and the meeting place of the Miamisburg Rotary Club.
